Her er nogle af mine mest værdsatte ting.

Here are some of my most cherished things.

Disney Classic, a tableware for 12 people from Firkløveren. Placed in my homemade platerack it looks good. Sauce jug and candlesticks top and serving platters second bottom. Extremely bottom right is single envelope from Disney Christmas-tableware..

Carl Barks Samlede Værker (CBSV blandt venner og kendere) fylder pænt i reolen.

Carl Barks Collected Works (CBSW among friends and connoisseurs) takes up neatly in the rack.

Goofy is probably the most traveled item in the Collection. Purchased in Nordre Frihavnsgade in Copenhagen and wrapped in cardboard and plastic bags, he was carried to Trianglen and taken to a cafe. By bus to Nørreport Station. S-train to the Central Station. Regional train to the airport. By plane to Bornholm and finally by car home to Engelsminde. His tray broke when a fellow passenger pushed Helles backpack, where it was. At the airport he came through the large scanner, and I was there to see that there was nothing inside him. He is completely empty.

Old movie posters, and also cinema programs for that matter, is always fun, and that is a part of the collection that probably can wake some memories.

Men nej.

This firetruck also has a funny story. It was used as a retail shelf in a bookstore in Ronne, and I had several times been in the store asking if they should have it replaced. But no. Until one day I got a call from one of our oldest friends here on the island, if I was interested in a firetruck. It took a moment before I knew what he was talking about, but then the dime fell, and I was told that it stood in his driveway. Off with the trailer next day and get it. It could just be there, but it could only just come in through the front door and not up to the ceiling. Good advice was expensive, but Ianto had fortunately some "fucking-glue" so it was dismantled in the head parts, carried to the ceiling and reassembled. And now it probably won't come back down as it can not be separated again.
